Craig Guillot, a New Orleans-based writer, offers up strategies for ridding oneself of roaches at HomeLogic.com. Being from New Orleans, he should have plenty of personal experience. Roaches love the humid subtropical climate of south Louisiana, where they can thrive. Guillot’s tips include starving them, using traps and bait stations, homemade “green” poisons, and of course (we like this one), hiring a pest professional like Legacy. Wipe down cupboard insides and drawers with soap and water. Immediately clean and put away dirty dishes.
